Myanmar was blasted on Monday by an earthquake of magnitude 4.5, according to a declaration from the National Center for Seismology (NCS) on Monday.
The earthquake was felt at a shallow depth of 10 kilometers, which makes it prone to aftershocks, according to the NCS.

A professional team of Indian Army Engineers arrived in the country on 6 April 2025 in response to a formal demand from the government of Myanmar, more confirming India’s continued commitment to local support and philanthropic relief.

The Engineer Recce Team, which is led by the unit’s Commanding Officer and consists of one official and five personnel, has been stationed in the Mandalay and Naypyitaw areas, according to the Indian Army.

According to the Embassy of India in Myanmar, Ambassador Abhay Thakur gave a local community comfort group 15 kilograms of grain, cooking oil, and ingredients. The Ambika church house, which is currently serving meals to 4, 000 people everyday, also received a machine collection, water purifier, and cooking oil from the Consulate General of India in Mandalay.
