Google’s DeepMind section is tightening its grip on expertise in the high-stakes competition for AI dominance, making some people resign from the field for up to a year if they do so.
According to numerous reviews and former workers, DeepMind, Google’s AI research laboratory, is using extreme noncompete agreements to obstruct employees from joining companies like OpenAI or Microsoft for weeks after quitting.
