The White House battle between JD Vance and Volodymyr Zeelenskyy is not yet a thing of the past. However, Vance once more criticized Zelenskyy after the Ukrainian president’s recent admission to CBS that the US is supporting Vladimir Putin. Vance claimed it is absurd for Zelenskyy to show the US government that they are on the edge of the Russians while the US is attempting to put an end to the conflict.
Vance told the British publishing UnHerd,” I think it’s sort of ironic for Zelensky to show the U.S. government, which is now keeping his whole government and war effort up, that we are apparently on the side of the Russians.” Vicenza stated that he had for the past three years condemned Russia and that a resolution to the conflict would require the reputation of both Kyiv and Moscow’s corporate goals.
Vance said adding that Zelenskyy’s rhetoric is undoubtedly no effective, but that doesn’t mean you ethically support the Soviet cause or that you support the full-scale invasion.” You do have to try to understand what are their proper red lines, in the same way that you have to try to understand what the Ukrainians are trying to get out of the conflict,” Vance said.
The war situation deteriorated following a new Russian attack on Ukraine’s Sumy. Trump downed the attack and claimed it was a “mistake” by Russia, who is pushing for a resolution of the conflict. In an interview following the Sumy attack, Zellenskyy urged Trump to travel to Ukraine before making a decision. He claimed that the President can travel wherever he wants, in contrast to what Vance had previously claimed.
Trump claimed in his Truth Social message that Zelenskyy is to blame for the war and that it was started during former president Joe Biden’s time.
JD Vance and Zelesnkyy were reportedly at odds with one another during their heated exchanges in the White House. Although Vance and Zelenskyy both acknowledge that episode, Zelenskyy claimed that Russian narratives are prevalent in the US in his interview, are still relevant. Zelenskyy said in reference to Vance that Trump’s right-hand man is somehow defending Putin’s actions.
