In a Monday release, the Department of Defense made a point about the significance of military health maintenance in terms of “force mortality” and military readiness.
In a statement from Military Health System Communications, Stephen Ferrara, who was appointed in January and is now serving as the assistant secretary of defense for health matters, emphasized readiness as a” proper essential to ensure interceptor dominance, endurance, and endurance.”
” Readiness may be secondary,” Ferrara said. You can’t do eagerness at the last moment. You can’t just search for “ready.” Readyness is everything when it comes to goal achievement.
Ferrara, a doctor on active duty for the U.S. Navy who has been deployed four days, noted that the Military Health System is the only method in the nation that “goes to battle.”
When America’s sons and daughters disintegrate and enter danger’s manner, we uphold the agreement we made with them and their families that, if they become ill or injured, they may receive prompt and effective health care anywhere in the world, according to Ferrara. That is the confidence we have, they say. That gives us an extraordinary strategic border because it’s something our enemies don’t always have.

Ferrara stated that his best priorities for the Military Health System are ensuring the knowledge of the health force, improving access to high-quality, affordable, and sustainable care, and increasing the morale of America’s warfighters. ” We have to help the interceptor, maintain our abilities, and strengthen our network,” Frarra said.
” If we support, sustain, and improve, that is how we build a program that will fight and win because ultimately, this is what our career is: to fight and win,” Ferrara said. ” We do this by having a prepared health power so we can offer strong battle care and maintain guns in the fight,” he said.
Ferrara claimed that part of his job is showing to Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth how the Military Health System coincides with the Trump government’s reliance on “force lethality.” Frara explained that the Military Health System “optimizes interceptor effectiveness” by ensuring the preparation of military personnel and those tasked with providing medical treatment and recovery for service members.  ,
” It starts with keeping the health power ready,” Ferrara said. Every member of the team must be at the top of their game, from the doctor who wields a knife, to the logistician who procured the knife, to the nurse who transfuses the heart, to the group who runs the body bank. A group prepared to fight and prevail in battle.
