
Eric Dane, an actor best known for his roles on” Grey’s Anatomy” and” Euphoria,” is reportedly suffering from ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease.
The actor admitted to being “fortunate” to be able to continue working and that he will return to the set of” Euphoria” next week to share his diagnosis with , People , on Thursday.
Before requesting private for himself and his home, he said,” I am glad to have my loving relatives by my side as we understand this next chapter.”
According to the ALS Assn., the progressive neurodegenerative disease destroys nerve cells needed for walking, talking, swallowing, and finally breathing. There is no treatment, and most citizens die within three to five years of exhibiting signs, though some people live for much longer.
Dane, 52, has two sons with actor Elizabeth Gayheart, who he also has a daughter.
The artist has spoken out candidly about his drug and alcohol addiction, battle with depression, and recovery.
Dane plays Nate Jacobs, the father of Jacob Elordi, and Cal Jacobs, the star of the famous Max line” Euphoria.” Dane’s performance on the show has received praise.
