In response to an ongoing investigation into details leaking at the Pentagon, a second top Pentagon official has been taken on administrative leave.
Colin Carroll is Steve A. Feinberg’s assistant secretary of defense in charge of the organization. Dan Caldwell, a top adviser to defence minister Pete Hegseth, and Darin Selnick, Hegseth’s chief of staff, are the two officers who have already been taken on left.

” We can ensure that Mr. Carroll has been placed on administrative leave while an investigation is being conducted. We don’t have anything more to offer right now,” a top official was quoted by Fox News Digital as saying.
Colin Carroll: Who is He?
According to his LinkedIn profile, Carroll is a US Marine Corps knowledge officer and previously worked for Anduril Industries, a security company with a focus on automatic techniques. He even held positions with technology firm Applied Intuition, which is based in California.
He graduated from the US Naval Academy and completed Operation Enduring Freedom four days in Afghanistan. His education certificates include a master’s degree from Georgetown University’s Walsh School of Foreign Service and an aircraft executive level from the marine club.
Leaks case at Pentagon
The Department of Defense, which is headquartered at the Pentagon building in Washington, DC, opened an investigation last month into “recent unauthorized disclosures of national security information.”
In a memo sent on March 21, Hegseth’s chief of staff Joe Kasper wrote,” This investigation will begin immediately and will culminate in a report to the secretary of defense. A complete list of unapproved disclosures made by the Department of Defense will be included in the report along with recommendations to improve these efforts.
