North Korea threatened to react on Thursday following the US’s earlier this week’s sending of B-1B aircraft over the Asian Peninsula. This implementation took place during joint exercises with South Korean airplane, which Pyongyang perceives as a strong military risk.
According to Seoul’s defense ministry, the long-range aircraft participated in flying exercises with South Korea on Tuesday to show deterrent against North Korea’s nuclear interests.
The drill included American F-16s, North Korean F-35 fighter jets, and F-16 fighter jets. According to CBS News, the government stated that the supporters would continue to increase their administrative eagerness in response to North Korea’s growing army.
An unknown spokesperson from the North Korean defense ministry, who was cited by state media for the flyover, described it as” a grave offense and a serious threat to our state and raises the military pressure in the region to an extreme dangerous level.”
According to AP news agency, the official warned that Pyongyang had “deter with strong power” the US’s extreme effort to “permanently mend the malignant volatility element in the security environment of the region.”
Kim Il Sung, the leader of North Korea, was born on the 113th birthday of the bridge, which is considered one of the country’s most spiritual holidays. According to CBS News, the schedule is likely to further aggravate Pyongyang, which has previously reacted strongly to similar shows by the US, including with missile launch and ferocious speech.
Later on Thursday, South Korea’s Air Force announced the start of its yearly” Freedom Flag” activities with the US, which feature 90 plane and other resources. The training will remain for two more weeks, and they are anticipated to make North Korea’s anger worse.
On the coast, conflicts have already been exaggerated. Kim Jong Un’s strong sister Kim Yo Jong just reaffirmed Pyongyang’s commitment to abandoning its nuclear weapons program and criticized US-led attempts to demonize North Korea as a “daydream.” Her remarks came after officials from the US, South Korea, and Japan met and pledged to advance denuclearization deals.
The B-1B rollout practice this week is the second since Donald Trump’s second term as president of the United States.
North Korea criticized a similar bridge in February as evidence of growing US-led animosity and conducted cruise missile tests in response. Trump has repeatedly said he wants to continue diplomacy and that he has a “great relationship” with Kim Jong Un, but North Korea has yet to respond to his referral in public.
