Let us pause for the persecuted Christians who are carrying their crosses in Jesus ‘ bloody footsteps as we remember Christ’s Passion and Death on the cross on Good Friday.

Catholics from Syria, Nigeria, Congo, Burma, India, Sudan, Iran, Gaza, China, Nicaragua, Thailand, Pakistan, North Korea, Iraq, Ukraine, Russia, and Afghanistan are just a few of the people who are subject to constant and sometimes even daily harassment for their belief around the world. Too many Christians experience everyday hardship, exploitation, assault, slavery, abduction, terrorism, and murder, especially in Socialist and Islamic nations. Yet European countries like Australia and the UK are arresting and pursuing Catholics.
The genocide against Nigerian Christians is continuing, with more and more Christians being attacked for “blasphemy” ( a favorite Muslim accusation ). According to International Christian Concern ( ICC),” Islamic Fulani extremists slaughtered 54 Christians in the village of Zikke near Jos, Plateau state, following Palm Sunday celebrations on April 13.” The attack is described as a “targeted act of genocide against the Holy neighborhood,” according to local leaders. The main shooting surface for Christians is not Nigeria, according to ICC President Jeff King, who stated,” It is not North Korea. According to reports, there is an escalating murder against Christians in Syria, just like there is in Nigeria.
