A British Airways team member was found dead in his lodge hospitality during a stay in the US.
The return trip to Britain was cancelled by frightened team members after they found his body at their San Francisco hotel on Tuesday.
Concern arose when the well-liked aircraft operator did not appear for the planned profit services to Heathrow after being in the area for 48 hours.
The flight deck staff departed for San Francisco airport differently, whilst other staff members waited in the resort hall. Upon his non-appearance, they were taken to his chamber, where he had apparently remained undiscovered for two nights. Studies into the cause of death are continuous.
The withdrawal affected many travellers, who received resort accommodation and were immediately rebooked on other flights.
A resource told The Sun:” There was no means the trip up from San Francisco had come back. Staff were in overall parts at the sudden loss of their companion. The manager was a famous member of the team and this came as a pin from the blue. “
British Airways verified that the person was their staff. In a statement to The Independent the aircraft said:” Our thoughts and condolences are with the family and friends of our partner at this challenging time. “
