United States country security main Kristi Noem fell prey to a fraud as her wallet was stolen from a restaurant where she went for supper, in Washington DC on Sunday. The purse had her driving license, medication, apartment keys, passport, DHS access badge, makeup bag, blank checks, and about$ 3,000 in cash, according to CNN, which was the first to report the theft.
At the White House’s Easter Egg Roll, Noem was asked about the affair, and she confirmed it happened.
” The issue has not been resolved,” Noem was quoted as saying.
‘ Unidentified white man’ behind theft?
The Secret Service, which provides protection for Noem, reviewed the eatery’s security camera footage, and saw an “unknown light man,” his face hidden behind a medical mask, seize her bag and leave the area, a law enforcement source said.
The Secret Service has launched an investigation to record any use of Noem’s fiscal instruments, the man added.
