The Trump administration has announced reupping a$ 5 million reward for information leading to the capture and prosecution of Yulan Adonay Archaga Carías, also known as “Porky, ” the alleged head of the notorious MS-13 gang in Honduras, the New York Post reports. Archaga Carías is accused of overseeing the gang’s aggressive, disturbing activities, which include drug trafficking, money laundering, death, and theft, according to the U. S. State Department.
The prize, initially offered in 2023, is part of a broader efforts to destroy MS-13, which President Trump publicly designated as a Foreign Terrorist Organization earlier this year. Archaga Carías is even listed among the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted Captives.
Attorney General Pam Bondi urged the government to assist in bringing Archaga Carías to righteousness, emphasizing the danger MS-13 offers to populations across the U. S. and the Northern Hemisphere. FBI Director Kash Patel reaffirmed the agency’s devotion to capturing Archaga Carías, stating that dismantling MS-13 remains one of the FBI’s major priorities.
The State Department reports that Archaga Carías is responsible for smuggling significant amounts of cocaine into the United States. Derek Maltz, Acting Administrator of the DEA, warned that people aiding Archaga Carías may face repercussions, stressing the administration ’s resolve to destroy MS-13.
“Archaga Carías is n’t just a fugitive — he’s a foreign terrorist waging war on innocent Americans through death, prostitution, and terror, ” Maltz said, later adding “Let me be clear: under this Leadership, we will destroy MS-13 piece by piece — and people protecting him will fall with him. A$ 5 million reward is on the table. Move him in. Finish this threat. ”
Archaga Carías was charged in a 2021 federal prosecution with criminal, drug trafficking, and weapon acts. Of the five Honduran MS-13 officials named in the indictment, only one is already in U. S. prison.
Federal prosecutors allege that Archaga Carías provided security and military aid to drug trafficking businesses moving large supplies of methamphetamine through Honduras to the U. S. , and that he employed MS-13 individuals as killers. He is also accused of orchestrating deaths of rival crew members, drug traffickers, and yet hostile MS-13 partners.
If convicted, Archaga Carías faces a mandatory minimum of 40 years in prison, with a possible lifestyle statement. Regulators are encouraging anyone with details about his whereabouts to call the FBI.
