Tesla reported earnings that were down 71 % from this year in 2024, and its stock was down 37 % at the beginning of this year. Some people have attributed Musk’s company’s adverse outcomes to his political engagement, which has led to widespread protests against the business.

TESLA TAKEDOWN GLOBAL Time OF ACTION HOLDS ANTI-MUSK Demonstrators

My time commitment to Expand will decrease significantly starting in May, according to Musk in the income call.

After the murder effort against the leader in Butler, Pennsylvania, Musk endorsed President Donald Trump in July 2024, and the Tesla CEO spent hundreds of millions to re-establish Trump in the White House. He has since become increasingly involved in the administration, leading the trimming of numerous organizations in his alleged effort to save the state.

The technology CEO, who also owns SpaceX and social media platform X, said he’ll continue to spend “days or two per year” on government problems” for as long as the leader did like me to do so.”

Starting next month, he said on Tuesday that he will dedicate much of his time to Tesla because the main work of creating the Department of Government Effectiveness has been completed.” I think I’ll continue to spend a day or two per week on government issues as the president may prefer me to do so and as long as it is important,” he said.

Musk claimed that Tesla rallies are “very organized.”

According to Musk,” the demonstrations that you’ll see out there are quite organized,” noting that some people are likely protesting “because they’re receiving false money” or “recipients of useless money.”

Tesla, which imports a lot of the lithium-ion phosphorus power cells used in its cars from China, has had a significant influence as a result of the Trump administration’s tariffs. He continued,” We’re in the process of commissioning equipment for the local production of LFP power cells in the United States,” adding that the company can only use its native technology to” serve a small portion of our entire mounted power.”

He added that “we’ve been working on achieving further supply chains from non-China-based vendors,” but it will take time. In the earnings contact, Musk stated that Trump is “listening to my suggestions” while making price decisions.

He stated on numerous occasions that he has stated on record that he believes lower taxes are typically a good idea for prosperity. However, the leader is in direct control of the electorate. So, you’re aware, I’ll continue to support lower tariffs as opposed to higher taxes.

Musk: I’ve said repeatedly that I think lower tariffs are usually great for wealth. However, the electorate’s choice of leader is in essence up to them. But, you’re aware, I’ll continue to support lower taxes… twitter.com/x93xA0nOvG— Acyn ( @Acyn ) April 22, 2025

FOR DEMOCRATIC 2026 MESSAGING, ELON MUSK COULD HAVE A SHORT SHELF LIFE.

Musk has campaigned or supported political candidates across the country and has taken an active part in the Trump presidency. He hasn’t changed much since losing the race for Wisconsin’s Supreme Court earlier this month.

Given its 130-day time limit, his time in his capacity as a” special government employee” will also be extended in late May or June.
