26 people were killed, the majority of them travelers, in a criminal assault in the Baisaran Valley of Pahalgam on Tuesday in the Anantnag city of Jammu and Kashmir.
The tragic assault shocked the country and caused widespread criticism from Indian-American politicians as well as political figures from other countries.
The largest and most politically engaged cluster of Asian Americans are Indian-Americans. These leaders have expressed their condolences to the victims ‘ families and reiterated their commitment to combating terrorism as the community mourns the loss of innocent lives.
