Ann Coulter, a liberal pundit, suggested that Vice President JD Vance’s Easter Sunday visit to the Vatican was connected to Pope Francis ‘ passing.
” Good work, JD,” Coulter wrote on X Monday.
The 88-year-old pope, who was generally viewed as more democratic than his contemporaries, passed away on Monday morning. Before meeting with Vance, he had been hospitalized with pneumonia and asthma in poor health. The priest’s cause of death was inevitable heart failing following a cognitive stroke, according to The Vatican.
The Vice President claimed he had learned of the demise of the Pope and that he was grieving along with Christians all over the world.
Even though he was evidently very ill, Vance said on Monday,” I was glad to observe him yesterday.”
Vance was raised a Christian and officially a Catholic in 2019. He attributes his devotion to shaping his outlook on the world.
Coulter has largely criticized the Brazilian pope, whom she claimed in 2015 had held antiquated views.
She wrote on social media that” THIS Pope’s theory of worshiping the weak and blaming the wealthy creates Latin American poverty.” ” National Catholic results in achievement.”
In her 2007 text” If Democrats Had Any Brains, They’d Get Republicans,” Coulter joked that she was a” Christian primary and a mean-spirited, racist traditional second,” according to an excerpt from Goodreads.com.
She wasn’t the only one to link Pope Francis ‘ suicide to Vance’s attend on social media.
In an Instagram article claiming “JD killed the Pope,” Francis praised the vocal nephew of Catholic , U. S.  , President , John F. Kennedy, saying that the church was “more DIVERSE EQUITABLE AND INCLUSIVE.
