South African President Cyril Ramaphosa announced on Thursday that he and President Donald Trump had discussed the Ukraine conflict and that they would match” immediately.”
As he met with Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on a working trip to South Africa, which was halted by fatal Russian strikes on Kyiv immediately, Ramaphosa made the statement. Ramaphosa stated on social media that she spoke with President Donald Trump to talk about the Ukrainian harmony approach.
The leaders “agreed that the conflict may be put to an end as soon as possible,” he said. We both agreed to meet immediately to discuss several issues relating to US-South Africa relationships.
After Trump took office this month, relations between Pretoria and Washington slowed. He has criticised a number of North American domestic and international laws, including Pretoria’s event at the International Court of Justice regarding Israel’s occupation of Gaza.
Last month, Pretoria’s adviser was expelled, but the hostilities eventually reached a point where they all culminated. Trump has also reduced funding for the white Afrikaner majority, which he has claimed is being persecuted, and offered immigrant arrangement to the light African population. Ramaphosa claimed in a social media post that he and Trump both felt the need to develop friendly relations between their two nations.
