According to reports, a police officer was killed in a shooting that resulted in the closure of Terminal 1 at Toronto Pearson International Airport on Thursday night. A “police-involved shooting” had occurred, according to Ontario’s Special Investigations Unit ( SIU) and investigators had been dispatched. They further stated that the government would not be harmed by any additional threats. In the event, one man was shot, but the commander was unharmed, according to Peel Regional Police in a blog on X.
Soldiers were at the airport shortly before 7 am on Thursday, according to a Special Investigations System press release.

Eyewitness claims to have witnessed a male bleeding.
An eyewitness reported to CBC News that he heard 10 or more quiet curls as he drove to the aircraft to cut off a companion. He claimed that while a police officer was administering CPR, he witnessed a male lying bleeding from his torso and head.
