Mainline Protestant denominations have experienced a steady decrease for years, mostly as a result of the churches ‘ support of religious democracy. The use of biblical truth and audio doctrine for social justice and the historical desires of the day is no way to convert people to Jesus, and it does so.

One religion has made a significant move that highlights how terrible its decline is. The Presbyterian Church USA (PCUSA ), a radical progressive denomination, is phasing out the majority of its international missionary activities.
Greg Garrison made a report last week at AL.com:
After the Presbyterian Mission Agency and the Office of General Assembly merged to form the Interim Unified Agency, Presbyterian World Mission’s business abruptly closed.
According to religious sources, these actions basically ended a 200-year custom of sending international missionaries, more recently called quest” co-workers” to spread the gospel in different nations.
The Presbyterian World Mission, which ostensibly sounds like a government agency, is firing 54 of its 60 preachers and hiring 30 office workers to assist as “global catholic officials” in the new business. Between 2020 and 2023, the PCUSA’s enrollment dropped by over 10 %, and the resulting drop in offerings and taxes in part caused this change. Preachers who travel in dangerous environments are another concern.
Garrison reported that the church then anticipates that indigenous leaders around the world will be involved in Christian job because of budget cuts and shifts in emphasis, as opposed to U.S. missionaries sent to foreign countries. Parachurch companies will also pick up some of the loose.
The preachers are unhappy. I believe I’ve been treated more like a monetary duty in government than as an asset, according to an anonymous missionary.

According to Karla Ann Koll, a Presbyterian preacher to Costa Rica,” we’re witnessing the gradual destroying of one of our church’s most defining departments.” This choice sends the same signal at a time when the world needs unity, the statement goes on.
Democratic Christianity Watch: Catholic Easter Edition
Dr. Albert Mohler explained in his audio on Friday that this stance is the direct result of traditionalists ‘ accept of democracy.
And all of them have eventually embraced democracy. Generally, all of them have been taken over by those with liberal agendas. And this results in anti-supernaturalism. It doesn’t just mean giving up on the lady baby idea. It implies a complete reformulation of Christian religion. What exactly was warned in the 1920s by prominent scholars like [Presbyterian scholar ] Gresham Machen.
Mohler remarked that the church’s attitude toward operations changed as a result of their lurch toward religious and political liberalism.
One of the signals that is also sent here is the reminder that conversionist expeditions were retreated from years ago, in fact. Conversionism became an shame among religious liberals, and Christianity’s expansion became a form of imperialism, an embarrassment in its own right.
Liberals have concerns, as demonstrated by a letter that some Presbyterians have sent to the religious office. They are concerned that a lack of left-leaning missionaries may — GASP! — encourage traditional pastors to gain more followers.
Two quotations from this email ( with more emphasis added ):” The game is being played.”

At a time when nationalism and jingoistic tendencies are prevalent in the United States and many other places, we are concerned that the PC ( USA ) is removing staff, some of whom have served for many years and have deep understandings of global partners, their ministries, histories, and cultural contexts.
When intensifying Christians, communions, and mission-going groups leave a industry, their absences are undoubtedly and generally filled with voices, staff, and mission partners who view Jesus and his ministry different, in less equitable and empowering ways.
Yes, it would be wrong for missionaries to travel to places and tell the reality of scripture, clarify sin, and put solid doctrine in new believers. You can’t make things like this up, though, because the email also implies that non-progressive missionaries may usher in colonization.
The letter and the responses to the religious decision both contain a hint of dramatic politics. And liberal Christianity suffers from this. Only preach the gospel that the Bible entails, and avoid extremism within the chapel.
