Mahmoud Khalil, a lawyer for Columbia University activist, says the Trump administration may stop issuing him imprisonment orders. In a court filing on Thursday, Govt claimed that ICE brokers didn’t have a permit for Khalil’s arrest in March while guarding a university house in New York. According to lawyers for the justice ministry, Khalil’s “warrantless” arrest was justified because ICE officers approached him on the street initially believed he may try to run after he refused to cooperate with them.
