One of the many controversy-filled ones involving Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was Susan Rice’s inclusion on the Pentagon’s Defense Policy Board. Some Republicans were unsure as to why the Obama friend was still in the table at a time when the agency was dealing with too many leaks.
Her ousting was made public late on Thursday evening, when the Defense department issued a statement stating that” changes are necessary to support the new strategic direction and policy objectives of the office and to maintain departmental sources are used quickly.”
In Obama’s second word, Rice served as the country’s embassy to the UN, and she served as his second-term adviser to national security. She also served as the Domestic Policy Council’s director for two years while also serving on a Pentagon commission.
Hegseth’s leaking, including the revelation that he used an unsecure internet connection to operate Signal on a private computer in his office, were described as a “huge violation of national protection” that “puts our men and women in uniform at risk.” Hegseth’s portrayal as a” white men Christian transgender masculine MAGA man” by Rice, which demonstrates that it is possible for someone to be” as dumb as a stone and get deemed qualified to serve as Secretary of Defense, is supported by Rice.
A large staff exodus occurred as a result of The Signalgate in his office. Trump has backed Hegseth despite a departmental research into employees leaking details, but Rice went so far as to say he never should have been in charge of the Pentagon.
She criticized Trump for operating the nation” as if he were a king and everyone is subservient to him, and anyone who criticizes or questions the activities or conduct of his group or himself are essentially the enemies.”
