Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh, the radical Islamist organization, has warned deputy director Muhammad Yunus that if the time government pursues the “anti-Islamic” ideas made by the Women’s Affairs Reform Commission, he may be treated similarly to Sheikh Hasina. Additionally, Hefad officials criticized the propositions as being directly in conflict with the Quran and the Sunnah. Khelafat Majlis likewise demanded the Commission’s emancipation, which is what it is. Secretary-general Ahmad Abdul Quader argued that this is against the Quran and the Sunnah and that it poses a threat to Muslims ‘ spiritual identity.
Hefazat issued his notice as a result of widespread demonstrations that were sparked by the Commission’s most recent report, which Hefazat claims is in violation of Islamic law. We applauded five of the six reform income, but the Women’s Affairs Reform Commission’s proposals are startling, Hefazat combined secretary general Mamunul Haque said at a rally page in Narayanganj on Friday. They attribute sex discrimination to religious and social conventions, which is a distinct refusal of Islamic law. We have shown him value, but if he insists on pushing this plan, we will have to address him no different than Sheikh Hasina, Haque said in reference to Yunus.
