
Authorities fatally shot a gentleman in Reseda on Sunday night after he allegedly fired a gun at a Los Angeles Police Department plane.
According to the LAPD, the fatal shooting started when police were called about an assault with a dangerous weapon in the 6400 wall of Reseda Boulevard about 6:25 p.m. Officials reported seeing a male run into an apartment complex close to the intersection of Reseda and Victory boulevards when he arrived.
Additionally, an LAPD plane came on the scene and reported that the suspect appeared to be shooting his gun at the airplane. Initial studies indicated that the plane had not been struck.
The suspect was next pursued by police into the apartment complex ‘ back alley, where a police shooting occurred. Doctors from the Los Angeles Fire Department arrived at the scene and declared the man dying.
The filming is being investigated by the agency’s Force Investigation Division. According to authorities, the suspect’s gun was recovered, and it will be analyzed alongside video and other physical evidence.
There are no outstanding defendants, according to authorities, and neither officers nor civilians were hurt in the event.
According to authorities files, this is the eleventh people to have been struck by LAPD gunshots in 2025.
