Former RNC chair says Trump is ‘doing exactly what he said’ with economic promises

Reince Priebus, the former chairman of the Republican National Committee, blasted President Donald Trump’s endorsement ratings just before his 100th day in the White House, claiming that the president is “doing precisely what he said he was going to perform.”

The president’s approval rating has dropped below 40 %, the lowest for any president at the 100-day level of their first or next terms in office in about 80 years, ahead of Trump’s 100th day in business on Tuesday. Despite this, Priebus claimed that Trump is still in the “restructuring” stage of his administration, where he is attempting to incorporate everything he promised to voters.

” But there’s also some good news: gas prices are over, inflation is over, and rates are lower. On ABC News’ This Year, Priebus explained that the next 100 days, which is the rebuilding 100 days, is cutting deals on the tariffs, which is calming people down as far as where we’re going in the economy, and the tax cuts that are definitely good coming to the business, and that I think was revealing in Scott Bessent’s meeting.

Despite the recent spots in Trump’s first 100 days, Priebus continued, saying that this goes against the claims made by other officials. He also made it clear that some people dislike Trump’s usage of tariffs, but that it is “going to appear about.”

Donna Brazile, a former president of the Democratic National Committee, later claimed that Trump is” crushing dreams” because of how he handled the business and that he has failed to resolve the cost of living on his first time in business. She also acknowledged that Kilmar Abrego Garcia’s legal protection and deportation to El Salvador are both receiving a lot of common disapproval, which Priebus attributed to the Democratic Party‘s efforts to pursue “highly unpopular” issues.

Trump intends to honor the monument by holding a rally in Michigan despite his low acceptance ratings during his first 100 days in office. In Arlington, Virginia, a celebration of the 47th government’s first 100 time in office is taking place.
