Breaking the silence, Marius Mangeac’s system began to beep madly. With each message, his soul pounded hard in his neck, he said in an , April 22 , Facebook post.
Mangeac had found a treasure of historic Roman coins — 1, 469 gold dinars — buried in a niche in Letca Nouă. He said the revelation left him in amazement.
The cash featured the eyes of 11 Ancient kings and empresses, including Nero and Marcus Aurelius, according to the University of Oxford’s Coin Hoards of the , Roman Empire Project , collection.
The cash date back to the Roman Imperial Period, which lasted from 31 BC to 476 Advertising, making the treasure at least 1, 538 centuries old.
The treasure was found with a concrete vehicle that was broken, documents show.
Mangeac said he photographed the cash before turning them over to specialists.
Specialists said the treasure good belonged to a very wealthy person, according to Italian news store TVRInfo.
