
The United States Air Force Office of Special Investigations is conducting a hunt for a U. S. serviceman who has been accused of military abandonment and several crimes involving the possession and distribution of child sexual abuse elements.
In a Thursday Facebook blog, the United States Air Force Office of Special Investigations announced that it was looking for 27-year-old Brandon Standifer, a first class serviceman.
“Airman 1st Class Brandon Standifer is wanted by AFOSI and has been declared a military deserter, ” the United States Air Force Office of Special Investigations stated. “Last seen: Bozeman-Yellowstone International Airport, Montana, April 19, 2025. He has relations in Michigan and Ohio. Choose share this post to help us spread the word! ”
In a wanted poster included in Thursday ’s Facebook post, the United States Air Force Office of Special Investigations explained that the 27-year-old serviceman was assigned to Hurlburt Field, Florida, as an aviation maintainer and is presently the “subject of an active investigation by the U. S. Air Force. ”

“Criminal claims were being preferred when he fled his work place to prevent prosecutors on April 18, 2025. He was declared a military soldier on April 21, 2025,” the United States Air Force Office of Special Investigations noted in the desired banner. “A1C Standifer was last seen on CCTV after arriving at the Bozeman-Yellowstone International Airport, Montana, on April 19, 2025. Standifer has relatives relations to Michigan and Ohio. ”
According to Fox 9, Air Force leaders have indicated that the 27-year-old serviceman does not likely have access to weapon; however, officials suggested that Standifer could have “suicidal tendencies ” based on a book the 27-year-old returned that included ideas to “jump off a cliff. ”
Fox 9 reported that while the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension confirmed that a portable unit linked to the 27-year-old serviceman pinged in the region of Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota, the airman’s current site has not yet been determined.
According to the United States Air Force Office of Special Investigations ’ wanted banner, Standifer is a pale man, is six feet tall, weighs about 160 pounds, has blue eyes and brown locks, and has a bird tattoo on his middle left finger.
