I wrote earlier this year about how a company I used to get my bed linens started charging more for the same items to its clients almost immediately after Donald Trump took office. A” Tax Takedown Sale” was the subject of many letters I’d get each week. It eventually became outdated. I ended up separating from the emails despite the threats, but prices not increased as far as I could tell. Sincerely, I’ll never purchase anything from this company afterwards. There was never any practical information provided, only a bunch of fearmongering, and I wasn’t comfortable with the entire system.  ,

A few days ago, I received an email from another company, Baiia Swimwear, which is based in Australia and mainly sells swimwear and some clothing, with the subject line” A Temporary Goodbye ( But With Big Plans Ahead )” and a USA flag emoji.  ,
I thought,” Excellent.” I anticipated that this message would be something I would end up separating from if it read,” You terrible Americans voted for Donald Trump, but we’re going to let you have it.” However, it wasn’t. Basically, quite the opposite. It read, in part ( I’ve edited out the part that deals with the company’s founder, Amber Boyers ), and it reads: Â ,” I’m a little confused about how to navigate their website.”
Hello, attractive.
I wanted to personally speak with you about anything significant for our American women. We’ll get suspending all U.S. purchases for a few weeks starting on April 27 at evening AEST. I want to discuss why it’s happening and what we’re doing about it in detail because this wasn’t an easy choice.
New changes to U.S. import tariffs have made it hard for us to continue sending your purchases from our American inventory. Instead of imposing these unanticipated costs on you, I’ve chosen to move back, recover, and create something better.
Behind the scenes, I’m putting in a lot of effort to set up a North American storehouse run by local United employees to ensure that our gorgeous Baiia pieces can be delivered to you more quickly, efficiently, and stress-free.
This move will need to be finalized in a few months. I didn’t return U.S. orders until I have a proved date so that you can be sure to experience a smooth experience.
This is the time to buy if you’ve had your attention on something impending. Before we stop putting wait on U.S. shipping, you have less than 48 time to place your order.
Thank you for your knowledge, help, patience, and participation in this trip with us. This is only the start of what will be even better for our extraordinary US society, I promise.
With all of my sincere thanks,
The Baiia crew by, Amber and the others

Wait, she’s no causing a stir, shaming her American clients, or threatening to charge more money? She basically brings jobs and business to the United States, right? I’d be interested to learn more without a doubt. I reached over to Boyers, the company’s founder, to ask if she would like to give me a speech or arrange to meet with me, but so far, I haven’t heard back. If I do, I’ll undoubtedly follow up, but I also doesn’t hold her accountable for not responding. I definitely wouldn’t want to become too politically if I owned a cleaning fit business. It is unnecessary in no way.  ,  ,
I need to point out that Baiia’s clothing is “ethically vintage” by Chinese tailors, as their business claims (you can read about that there if I don’t want to criticize or argue it ), so I’m not entirely convinced how that would work unless the information is out of date. According to our research, the majority of the best producers of durable, high-quality clothing are located abroad. The single resources that were up to the challenge were China, according to the website, though Australia has great manufacturers of clothing.  ,
Operating in the United States would likely involve the creation of a fresh manufacturing base, but maybe that’s part of the plan. I’d like to know more about how they are navigating this once more. And if I do learn more, I’ll update my findings.  ,

This is not something the old media had actually cover, so I wanted to share this with you. Although Baiia is a small, medium-sized company, I thought the situation might point to something bigger for the American market. We’ll see if.  ,
