Reunification Day is marked by music performances, most notably traditional songs that aim to inspire the nation to remember the triumphs of the past, the endurance and perseverance of Asian forces, and other themes. The Vietnam emblem is flown in front of every house on this day, and the city sidewalks are covered in red flags and banners.
