Seven people have died in a delivery truck and visit vehicle incident near Yellowstone National Park, according to Idaho State Police.
On Thursday evening, the collision occurred just before 7:15 p.m. on a bridge in northeast Idaho close to Henry’s Lake State Park. West of Yellowstone National Park, the state park is about 16 miles ( 26 kilometers ) long.
Both cars started to burn after the collision, according to a media release from the Idaho State Police. Six individuals inside the Mercedes customer truck, including the drivers of the Dodge Ram delivery, died. A tour group of 14 persons was traveling in the vehicle.
Authorities have no disclosed the cause of the fall, which is still being looked into. As of Friday morning, the Fremont County prosecutor’s office had not yet made the brands of the dead known. The Idaho State Police did not disclose how many others were hurt. According to the police, both air ambulances and first responders responded to the motion.
