After abusing aspirations for Boeing’s distribution of an upgraded Air Force One, US President Donald Trump has ordered a posh private plane.
The leader is reportedly purchasing an L3Harris aircraft, which was earlier owned by Qatar’s authorities, and features suites, advanced carpeting, and leather seating, according to The Wall Street Journal.
According to the New York Post, the aircraft’s lavish interior, which was created by the renowned European firm Alberto Pinto Cabinet, has gold-toned walls and furnishings related to Trump’s Trump residence in Trump Tower.
L3Harris is now updating the plane to include unreleased presidential-grade methods.
The$ 400 million aircraft will act as a temporary measure while Trump waits for Boeing to finish the current presidential fleet upgrades.
According to The Wall Street Journal, Trump wants to have the plane operational by the fall of this year and keeps in touch with the company regularly for development updates.
After Boeing stated they don’t replace the Air Force One ship during his presidency, Trump contacted the contractor in Florida.
Since 2017, when Trump signed a$ 3.9 billion contract for a replacement aircraft, known as VC-25A by the military and known as Air Force One when carrying the president, Boeing has been working on the two aging aircraft.
On April 29, 2025, US President Donald Trump ripples as he boardeers an Air Force One at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland for a protest in Michigan to indicate his 100th day in office.
The ship, which dates back to George H. W. Bush’s leadership, needs a lot of maintenance. The$ 3.9 billion project, which is projected to be finished by 2035, has fallen significantly behind Boeing.
The project was supposed to be finished last year, but it has been hit by several provider, engineering, and manufacturing difficulties, which have cost billion.
Before Trump took office in January, the presidency considered terminating a commitment, with Elon Musk apparently pressing Boeing managers, which “made some professionals at Boeing uncomfortable,” according to Wall Street Journal options.
Trump inspected the Qatari-owned 747 in West Palm Beach in February, and he suggested he may buy it as his eagerly awaited replacement plane.
He apparently said,” I’m not happy with Boeing.”
