In countless American universities and schools, education has turned into pure advertising. More than a hundred institutions of higher learning have received La cash in the span of$ 373 million as of 2016; this is according to Defending Education.

To date, Defending Ed analyzed 281 diversity, equity, and inclusion funds ( DEI ) found in 130 colleges and universities across 44 states and Washington, D.C. These include grants and initiatives centered on racial and physical “identity.”
Defenders of Ed cautioned that, in many cases, DEI programs have just been renamed or abandoned for the time being, even though many universities and colleges have now formally ended them under the pressure of the Trump administration. For instance, the University of Nebraska-Lincoln just changed the name of its” Office of Diversity and Inclusion Fund” to” Community and Belonging Support Fund.” Simply put more pablum for a superficial makeover.

To date, we have been able to locate donations totaling more than$ 373, 344, and 424 to support DEI programs, scholarships, and offices at institutions. While some of the money was identified through campaign website in the” Day of Giving” style, the majority of it was discovered through university presentations, pages, and reviews. With one or two instances noted above, the data in this report generally covers the years from 2021 to the present.

Academic research has focused more on body hue than on knowledge, skills, or character development years after the civil rights movement. Kids of all ethnicities are greatly benefited by this, which has reduced our higher education institutions to nothing more than advertising machines.

Defending Ed likewise provided illustrations of some La funding and projects. The University of Michigan established a” George Floyd Memorial Scholarship” and raised more than$ 98, 665 and 269 for a variety of DEI initiatives and resources, including scholarships for first-generation kids.
A report from the University of Delaware in 2023 states that the school was able to increase$ 21 million to expand its richness, capital, and inclusion programs. The University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA ) School of the Arts and Architecture includes its” Anti-racism Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion” program, which includes the UCLA Arts Racial Equity Fund. One of the funds included in the donor haul was the” Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion, or JEDI, Fund.”

In addition, during a 2025 plan, the University of California, Berkeley fundraised$ 186, 420 for” Increasing Variety and Possibility at Cal.”
These institutions must be exposed, and they must continue to receive federal funding for discriminatory DEI.
