Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez announced on Wednesday that Spain would provide a draft decision to the UN General Assembly that would “propose immediate measures to stop the killing of innocent civilians and maintain charitable help” in Gaza. After a two-month peace, Sanchez told the Spanish congress that” the global community cannot remain oblivious to what is happening in the Arab place.” The Socialist leader has been one of the most open critics of the disastrous conflict in Gaza, which has resulted in food, gas, and medical shortages. Spain also criticized some Western allies and upset Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s administration last year by recognizing a Palestinian condition. According to an AFP tally based on official Jewish figures, the battle began when Hamas launched an extraordinary assault on Israel from Gaza on October 7, 2023, which resulted in the deaths of 1, 218 people, mainly residents. Additionally, 241 persons were abducted by Palestinian militants that day, including 34 who the Jewish defense claims are dead, out of 58. According to the health department in Hamas-run Gaza, Israel’s hostile military campaign has resulted in the deaths of at least 52, 653 individuals, primarily civilians.
