Donald Trump has signed a statement naming Thursday as a day when the United States will celebrate its victory in World War II, as other nations in Europe now do. As the earth observes Thursday’s 80th anniversary of Victory in Europe Day, when Nazi Germany surrendered to Allied forces including the United States, towns from London to Moscow are staging parades, helicopters, and monuments this year. We recognize the lives of all those who perished. Above all, we reiterate our commitment to protecting America and the rest of the world from harm. World War II ended on May 8, 1945. World War I ended on Nov. 11, 1918. Trump is anticipated to designate a day for the United States ‘ events of the close of World War One. No time falls under the governmental law. Trump, a Republican, claimed in new social media posts that the United States doesn’t spend as much time celebrating its military successes as the rest of the world does. He claimed that he would change the date of May 8 to Success Day for World War II and to November 11 to Victory Day for World War I. Many of our allies and friends are honoring May 8 as Winning Day, but we, by way, contributed more to the success of World War II than any other nation. He stated last week on his social media site that he was renaming May 8 as Winning Day for World War II and November 11 as Victory Day for World War I. No one in our country matched us in terms of power, bravery, or military genius, but we never celebrate anything because we don’t have any leaders who are capable of doing so! We won both Wars because no one else has the strength to do so! We will start rejoicing about our successes once more”! The sole power given by Congress is to name festivals as Veterans Day federal holidays in the United States. Trump reversed course this month, saying he would rather declare holidays of the nation. Somebody else acknowledges that we won two World Wars, but we never took credit for it. The Friends are rejoicing the triumph of World War II on a global scale. The United States of America is the only state that doesn’t honor, and the Victory was only possible because of us, he wrote on Monday. What a different world the War would have been in, and without the United States, would have been won by different nations. In honor of the Victories of World War I, where the Armistice was signed on November 11, 1918, and World War II, where the Conquest meeting was May 8, 1945, I hereby declare a federal holiday. May 8, 2025, is designated as a “day in celebration of Victory Day for World War II,” according to the declaration Trump signed.
