Previous CityMD medical director Nesheiwat, a former Fox News contributor, had been criticized by liberal advocate Laura Loomer over worries about her qualifications.

The family doctor raises some of these problems, including the fact that she attended the School of Medicine at the American University of the Caribbean while claiming to be double board-certified and having a degree from the University of Arkansas School of Medicine.

On Truth Social Wednesday afternoon, Trump announced he was interviewing Means as his new surgeon general, stating that” Casey has impeccable [ Make America Healthy Again ] credentials” and that Kennedy “looks forward to working with Dr. Janette Nesheiwat in another capacity at HHS.”

Prior to joining the Food and Drug Administration, Means, a Stanford University-trained doctors and severe illness entrepreneur, was considered for a position there. She and her nephew Calley are well-known Kennedy supporters.

When Trump named Nesheiwat as his next public health specialist in November, Trump underlined her qualifications.

Nesheiwat, a glad student of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, was one of five children raised by a married immigrant mother who worked as a nurse, according to Trump at the time.

Trump also cited Fox News and Nesheiwat’s open health campaigning on the ground during the COVID-19 crisis, Hurricane Katrina&nbsp, in 2005, and the storms from 2011 Joplin, Missouri.

He continued, referring to himself in the second man,” She worked on the front ranges in New York City, treating thousands of Americans, and helped people in the aftermath of President Donald Trump’s Historic Operation Warp Speed&nbsp, that saved hundreds of millions of lives.

Nesheiwat is Mike Waltz‘s sister-in-law, who Trump removed as his top national security assistant last week and who was then nominated as the U.S. adviser to the UN after he unintentionally included Jeffrey Goldberg as the Atlantic editor-in-chief in a group discussion on Signal about military operations against Houthis in Yemen. Walz is married to Julia Nesheiwat, who was a member of the first Trump presidency.

Rep. Matt Gaetz, a Republican from Florida, and Rep. Elise Stefanik, a Republican from New York, were originally considered for positions as attorney general and ambassador to the United States, between.

David Weldon, Trump ‘s&nbsp, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and Chad Chronister, his rival at the&nbsp, Drug Enforcement Administration, are another nominees who will be withdrawn.
