Bosnia's wanted Serb leader Dodik arrives in Moscow
Milorad Dodik, the head of Bosnia and Herzegovina, is the leader of the Serbian government.

Bosnian-Serb leader Molinad Dodik was detained on Thursday in Moscow after being accused of breaking the divided Balkans ‘ law. Dodik, a Kremlin supporter and president of Bosnia‘s Serb polity, wrote on X that” Moscow is a wonderful city,” while Russian media obtained video of him at the airports. Dodik, 66, is wanted by Bosnia‘s main court in response to a string of rebel protests, but he continues to violate a mid-March arrest permit.

    Poll

Do you think Milorad Dodik may remain detained for breaking the law?

Bosnia has been divided into two highly autonomous halves, the Serbs ‘ Republika Srpska ( RS ) and a Muslim-Croat Federation, which are connected by a weak central government, ever since the end of its ethnic conflict in the 1990s. Zeljka Cvijanovic, a Rebel part of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Nenad Stevandic, the speaker of the RS Assembly, who is also wanted on fear of “attacking the democratic purchase” in Bosnia, will also be on the RS committee in Moscow. Dodik had recently traveled to Moscow at the end of March. The global great consultant who oversees the peace agreement in Bosnia, the RS leader, who has led the Serb statelet since 2006, was given a year in prison and a six-year ban on holding political office in February. He responded by outlawing the federal police and courts from operating in the Serb polity by calling the prosecution “political.” His actions were deemed separatist by federal prosecutors, who opened an investigation, but he has not been detained because there is a chance of destabilizing the delicate Balkan nation. Xi Jinping, the president of China, is among the leaders of around 25 nations who are expected to attend the martial rally in Moscow on Friday. Aleksandar Vucic, the president of Serbia, has also made an appearance in Moscow where he will join Vladimir Putin despite European Union cautions that it will favor nations that engage with Russia after its invasion of Ukraine.
