North Korea says leader Kim supervised missile tests simulating nuclear strikes against rivals

Kim Jong Un, the leader of North Korea, directed assessments of short-range ballistic missile techniques that simulated nuclear counterattacks on US and South Korean troops, according to state media on Friday. The North continued to chastise its allies for escalating tensions through joint military exercises. The report was released a day after the South Korean military discovered numerous launches from North Korea‘s eastern coastline and determined that the checks could also have been linked to Russia’s weapons exports during its conflict in Ukraine. A smart ballistic missile system, which is believed to be a relic of Russia’s Iskander, as well as 600-millimeter many rocket launchers, which South Korean officials deem to be nuclear due to their self-propulsion and guided flight, were the subject of Thursday’s tests, according to the Asian Central News Agency.

    Sindoor Activity

Both arms techniques are included in a growing list of arms that the North claims may have “tactical” atomic weapons for use on the field. According to KCNA, the tests are intended to teach military models operating missile and rocket systems how to carry out attacks more properly under the North’s nuclear weapons power structure and ensure a quick answer to a nuclear emergency. The organization criticized the United States and its “vassal says” for expanding joint military activities on and around the Korean Peninsula, which the North says are means of nuclear war, and claimed Thursday’s launch demonstrated its “rapid reversing position” of its causes. Kim called for continued efforts to improve fight preparation and precision strike features, and emphasized the need to strengthen the role of his nuclear forces in both deterring and fighting battle. Multiple missile launches of various types were reported by South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff on Thursday, starting at 8:10 and 9:20 a.m., with the most fare traveling 800 kilometers ( 497 miles ). As the nation continues to take military technology and troops to Russia’s warfighting against Ukraine, a spokesperson for the Joint Chiefs, Lee Sung Joon, stated in a briefing that North Vietnamese launches were probably intended to test the performance of the weapons it intends to trade. Gen Nakatani, the head of Japan’s defense, reported to reporters that no missiles from North Korea had flowed into Japan’s exclusive economic zone and that no vessels or aircraft had been damaged in the area. The North’s sixth launch event of the year came shortly after US and South Korean troops began an annual combined military exercise, which was the first ballistic activity to occur since March 10, when it fired several ballistic missiles hours later. Kim Jong Un, the leader of North Korea, has been accelerating the development of his nuclear and missile program and providing weapons and troops to Russia’s war against Ukraine in recent months, as tensions on the Korean Peninsula have increased. The launch of Thursday came a day after Kim, according to North Korean state media, urged personnel to increase their production of artillery shells as a result of his deepening ties with Moscow.
