Kash Patel holds fewer meetings and attends more sports events. FBI says there's a reason
Kash Patel reduced the number of meetings and cancelled one weekly meeting.

The outrage over FBI director Kash Patel‘s daily life is not ending anytime soon as NBC has published a detailed account of how Patel reduced the number of meetings while the sports events that he attends are on the rise. The report cited insiders expressing concern over Kash Patel’s apparent ‘lack of interest’ in the work. But Patel’s supporters in the FBI think there’s a reason he takes fewer meetings and it is, in fact, a much-needed change.

    Kash Patel’s daily meetings

The NBC report said the FBI head, for years, attended a daily 8.30 am meeting, called the director’s brief. And on Wednesday afternoons, the FBI director or his deputy holds a secure video teleconference with the leaders of the field officers.

    Operation Sindoor

But Kash is receiving the ‘director’s brief’ twice a week, the report said and no Wednesday briefing. FBI spokesperson Ben Williamson told NBC that this change was based on feedback from people in the Bureau and Kash Patel still attends five morning meetings per week. The Wednesday teleconference has been stopped after there was an attempted leak. But Patel is in touch with the leaders of the field officers, FBI insiders said. Williamson also denied claims that Patel sometimes appears uninterested and said he is working day nd night and the results speak for themselves.

Kash Patel’s intense love for sports

According to a log published by NBC, Kash Patel took three flights on FBI planes to Nashville, where his girlfriend Alexis Wilkins lives; two flights to Las Vegas, where he has a home and one flight to New York, where he attended a hockey game. FBI directors are mandated to fly on government aircraft for security reasons. Williamson told NBC that many of the sports events that Patel attended had his friends like Wayne Gretzky. The NBC report comes as a former FBI official, Frank Figliuzzi, claimed on MSNBC’s Morning Joe that Patel is spotted more in nightclubs and less in the office. MSNBC had to walk back on the claim and they issued a statement that MSNBC did not verify the claim.
