
According to a new review, China provides the majority of Pakistan’s imported weapons, creating a “de post check environment for Chinese military export.”
After Pakistan claimed to have shot down Indian martial aviation using J-10C fighter jet produced by AVIC during a Wednesday flying conflict, stock of China’s AVIC Chengdu Aircraft increased by 40 % this week.
According to CNN, India has not responded to Pakistan’s promises or acknowledged the loss of any plane. A Chinese Foreign Ministry official said on Thursday that he was not familiar with the situation when asked about Pakistan’s alleged use of the AVIC J-10C warrior jets.
According to CNBC, Yang Zi, an equate research fellow at the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies, said that” Pakistan is the largest consumer of Chinese hands, including fighter jets, air defense systems, marine vessels, and UAVs.”
Over 60 % of Chinese arms exports were sent to Pakistan between 2020 and 2024, according to data shared by Stockholm International Peace Research Institute, and China has supplied roughly 81 % of Pakistan’s imported arms over the past five years.
Seth Jones, leader of the Center for Strategic and International Studies ‘ defense and security office, stated that “it’s truly good that Pakistan used Chinese aircraft.”

Given the effectiveness of Pakistan’s fighter planes and air defense systems against India’s French and Soviet-made plane, Yang stated in a speech to CNBC that the fight between Pakistan and India” serves as a good testament to the quality of Chinese-made hands.”
China has spent considerable resources under the command of Chinese President Xi Jinping, despite not having engaged in a major conflict in more than four years. Pakistan is referred to as China’s “ironclad brother,” and the exit noted that China has also supported Pakistan’s defense.
Asia-Pacific Foundation International Security Director Sajjan Gohel emphasized the significance of the current conflict for China, saying,” Any relationship between India and Pakistan is de facto a test environment for Taiwanese military export.”
” Beijing’s long-standing aid for Islamabad has slowly changed the military balance,” said Craig Singleton, a senior fellow in the Foundation for Defense of Democracies. This isn’t just a diplomatic conflict again; it provides a view of how Foreign defense exports are changing local deterrence.
