This is an upgrade to everything I wrote for a Bible study site at church about a year ago.
It was made by King Solomon. He was chosen among King David’s sons to take his place on the crown. God gave him the surprise of knowledge, and with it, popularity, respect, and money. The awesome task of building the Temple, the natural home of God among His citizens and a place of worship for the Israelites, was most impressive to him. Before the Lord, through the prophet Nathan, set him free, David lamented that he didn’t get the chance to do it ( see 2 Samuel 7 ).

Solomon only wanted the best for the Temple when the church was being constructed. He contacted neighboring King Hiram to request the best Middle Eastern firewood.
When Solomon learned that they had appointed him ruler in place of his father, Hiram king of Tyre sent his servants to him because he had always loved David, he often loved him. And Solomon said to Hiram,” You know that David my father was not construct a home for the name of the Lord his God because of the hostilities that his enemies surrounded him, until the Lord put them under the soles of his foot.” However, the Lord my God has now provided me with sleep on every aspect. There is neither conflict nor misery. In response to David my father’s commandment,” Your brother, whom I did set on your king in your area, shall build the house for my name,” the Lord said to me. Therefore, I must demand that I cut cedars from Lebanon. And because you are aware that no one among us is because skilled as the Sidonians, neither did my servants nor I, nor will I pay you for your servants, as you have already done, but I promise to do the same. When Hiram first heard Solomon’s thoughts, he expressed his great joy and the blessing of the Lord, who had given David a clever son to rule over this great people. And Solomon responded,” I’ve heard the message you’ve sent me,” according to Hiram. In regards to pine and cypress wood, I’m willing to do whatever you want. From Lebanon, my workers will take it down to the sea, and I will arrange for it to be carried by water to your designated location. And you will get it because I may have them strewn it. And you will feed my family as I ask. But Solomon received all the pine and cypress lumber that Hiram desired, while Solomon received 20 000 tup of wheat to feed his family and 20 000 cors of beaten oil. Solomon gave this to Hiram over the course of the time. And Solomon received intelligence from the Lord as he had promised. And Solomon and Hiram made a agreement, which was reached after the two of them reached harmony.

Side note: 20, 000 cors of oil is about 1.16 million gallons, while 20, 000 cors of wheat is about 1, 320 bushels ( or 79, 200 pounds ). That is a lot of work.
The exceedingly detailed directions for the furniture for the Tabernacle in Exodus 25–31 are another Old Testament passing that grabs my attention. Although the demands of those chapters frequently cause my eyes to glaze over, God’s desire for the place where His people would worship Him only but illustrates His desire for our best.

The passing is fairly simple; there are no strong lessons or metaphors. So the conclusion is that God deserves our best, at least in my opinion. Although we may not create a framework for him, we may give Him the best we can. God deserves everything but our best, whether it’s as a husband or father, as a manager or individual, as a friend, or as a worshiper.
