According to the National Center for Seismology (NCS), an earthquake of 4. 6 magnitude struck Pakistan on Monday at 1:26 p.m. ( IST ). This comes just two days after Pakistan experienced two consecutive earthquakes, one of which was 5.7 % in the morning and the other of which was a 4.0 % tremor hours later, according to Reuters.
Researchers warn that stronger earth shaking makes shallow disasters, like those reported over the weekend, usually more dangerous. Along the lively line between the Indian and Asian tectonic plates, Pakistan continues to be one of the most earthquake-prone regions on earth. A number of provinces are located close to major fault lines, thereby increasing the risk of numerous seismic activity. No harm or deaths have been reported from the vibration of today.
