Shira Perlmutter, the head of the U.S. Copyright Office, was fired on Sunday by President Donald Trump.
Perlmutter is also listed as its producer on the copyright business website. The firm has 450 employees and six directorates under its control.
Rep. Joe Morelle (D-NY), a member of the House Administration Committee, attributed Perlmutter’s fire to her most recent statement on using copyrighted materials to coach artificial intelligence systems. Perlmutter claims that a similar exercise “would erode rather than advance the legal goals of copyright.”
Shira Perlmutter, the CEO of the Register of Copyrights, described Donald Trump’s termination as a “brazen, extraordinary power get with no legitimate basis.” It is undoubtedly no accident that he spoke less than a day later, and she rejected Elon Musk’s attempts to own reams of copyrighted functions to teach AI models,” Morelle wrote in a statement. By fully modernizing its functions and setting global norms for the intersection of AI and intellectual property, Register Perlmutter is a “patriot,” according to Register Perlmutter.
This pronouncement” twice again violates Congress ‘ Content One authority and chaos” for the trillion-dollar market. When does my Republican counterparts decide that “it’s much”?
The Canadian and American players ‘ coalition also released a statement lamenting Perlmutter’s fire.
TRUMP FIRES OUTRAGING DEMOCRATS, OUTRAGING CREATIVITIES, AND CROSS-FOR-FOR-FOR-RELATED CROSS.
” Shira Perlmutter has for decades provided the British people with unmatched experience. The American Federation of Musicians wrote that her unlawful fire will seriously damage the whole copyright community. She “understood what we all know to be true: individual creativity and author are the pillars of copyright law,” and it appears that she lost her job for this. We thank Register Perlmutter for her services on behalf of players from all over the United States and Canada.
Prior to joining the Patent and Trademark Office, Perlmutter held the position of legislation director.
