LONDON: A power failure caused several lines on the London Underground system to be suspended or disrupted on Monday, according to the American capital’s transportation authority. According to the Transport for London site, at least three metro lines were temporarily suspended as a result of a power failure, and at least six more were subject to severe disruptions and limited droplets on Monday afternoon’s rush hours. The transportation power stated that it was working with the National Grid to find out what was causing the interruption. Some lines lost energy for a short period earlier this afternoon due to a small delay of the electricity supply to our system, according to Claire Mann, TfL’s chief operating officer, in a speech. ” We are working to get the entire system up and running as quickly as possible,” she continued. The National Grid claimed that a “fault” in the distribution network in central London had been fixed “within seconds” and that it had been fixed. A spokeswoman for Transport for London earlier reported to the PA information agency that the subway network was temporarily impacted by a power cut in west London. According to American media reports, many channels in central London were shut down completely. A fire at an electronic station in north London last month caused the shutdown of Heathrow Airport for nearly a moment, causing thousands of flights to be canceled. Following the hearth, the government ordered an investigation into the region’s “energy resilience,” which raised questions about its resilience to natural disasters or attacks on crucial facilities.
