After wellness businessperson Calley Means accused a competitor of leaking harmful claims to far-right activist Laura Loomer, leading to investigations and threats of legal action, Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s health policy team and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. engaged in a contentious domestic dispute. The Wellness Company‘s CEO Peter Gillooly accused The Wellness Company‘s CEO Peter Gillooly of giving Loomer misleading information in a profanity-filled phone call that Calley Means, the CEO of Truemed and a departmental wellbeing and human services director, had allegedly sparked. According to a report from Loomer, Truemed was allegedly committing taxes fraud by supposedly creating doctor letters without proper review, which reportedly allowed customers to apply pre-tax dollars to buy health-related products. According to a text and saving obtained by Politico,” If one more thing happens, I’m going to come to Jay Bhattacharya and Bobby and show him that you and your army are spreading falsehoods and trying to f*** with him and hurt his leadership,” Means said. Gillooly’s response to this is” I am going to reimburse the s**t out of you and rise this if it continues.” Gallooly also filed a formal complaint with many national authorities on Saturday, alleging Means abused his provincial status and threatened retribution. Gillooly claimed that” this behavior has no place in the federal government.” The controversy came after Loomer’s incendiary article on X in which she claimed,” If these claims are true, it would be tax faking.” Casey Means, a wellness advocate and former US Surgeon General nominee, has turned into a liar for the Make America Healthy Again ( MAHA ) initiative. Her visit has sparked criticism from MAGA numbers and influential advocates for health freedom who claim that she promotes “woo-woo” therapies and lacks skepticism about vaccines. Calley Means, her brother, defended her against detractors like Loomer and past Kennedy running mate Nicole Shanahan, who claimed the sisters were involved in a” Chinese” activity and said,” Casey has inspired millions of Americans and is a risk to the status quo because she left the health system.” Kennedy and Trump have supported Casey despite the outcry. Trump remarked,” Bobby really thought she was great,” calling her” a very outstanding person.” The Wellness Company has denied any connection to Loomer, blaming the attacks as being motivated by well-established industry interests that are “terrified of change.” After receiving a cease-and-desist letter from Truemed’s attorney, founder Foster Coulson said,” I have never spoken to Laura Loomer in my entire life.” The episode has exposed deep divisions within the Kennedy’s movement, with figures once united under health freedom now locked in a power struggle. Lopez herself denied receiving leaks and was quoted by Politico as saying,” I look up stuff on my own.” According to UC Riverside professor Richard Carpiano,” This is really showing… to what degree is it really like a movement or is it really just this kind of brand that Kennedy is really just trying to push,”
