Trump administration claims that it will reduce additional$ 450 million in Ivy League school funding.

According to the Washington Free Beacon, Harvard University is facing federal investigation for supposedly hiring white and male faculty members.

Moreover, according to Reuters, the Trump administration announced plans to cut an further$ 450 million in grants to the school over its handling of hatred on campus on Tuesday.

The hatred process force of the administration said in a statement that “institutional leaders have forfeited the school’s claim to taxpayer support” because there is a “dark problem” on the Harvard campus.

Additionally, the work force charged Harvard with having a “long-standing policy and practice of discrimination on the basis of racial discrimination.”

The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission opened an investigation into Harvard’s getting methods at the end of April, which was first reported this week at The Beacon.

The Beacon obtained information from sources that point to data and statements from Harvard’s site, which the university claimed was trying to increase the number of “women, non-binaries, and/or people of color” on the faculty.

According to the research files, acting EEOC Commissioner Andrea Lucas wrote that” Harvard may have violated and may be continuing to offend Title VII by engaging in a design or process of discrimination against white, Asian, female, or direct employees, applicants, and education system participants.”

Lucas claimed that the school’s instructors statistics, as well as a quantity of scholarships and programs specifically designed for “minority” students, point to a “pattern or exercise of discrimination.”

The percentage of “non-white tenure-track instructors” increased by 37 percent between 2013 and 2023. According to the analysis, the number of white people on university decreased from 46 percent to 32 percent over that same time period.

The Beacon reports that every “other statistical for which Harvard collects information, including white women, increased over the same time.”

According to the EEOC, Harvard’s hiring practices “discriminated against” “white, Asian, female, or direct employees,” “aspirants,” and” coaching program participants.”

    More from The Harvard Crimson:

Beyond university hiring techniques, the EEOC’s research also includes Harvard’s training and fellowship programs. The cost listed thirteen initiatives that supposedly violate Title VII by prioritizing candidates of color, including the Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellowship Program, the Harvard Medical School’s Summer Honors Undergraduate Research Program, and the Research Scholar Initiative at the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences.

In both the Harvard College Du Bois Scholars Program and the HMS Four Information Summer Research Program, the EEOC precisely referred to “disparate care.”

The Du Bois Scholars Program, a paid summer study internship system” for scientists from find R2 and historically Black colleges and universities,” was established in 2024 as part of Harvard’s Legacy of Slavery action.

The College Fix contacted Harvard’s media relations office for comment, but the company did not respond right away.

However, Alan Garber, president of the university, refuted the claims in a letter to Education Secretary Linda McMahon on Monday, saying that hiring decisions are based on “individual accomplishments” and not “ideological litmus tests,” “race or ethnicity,” or other” characteristics.”

President Donald Trump and the prestigious university have been in disagreement over its ideological bent and federal funding for months.

When asked about the Trump administration’s actions, retired Harvard professor Harvey Mansfield asserted this week to The Dispatch that” Harvard is in a pickle.”

According to Mansfield, a vocal conservative, Harvard has a “long practiced, very one-sided program called diversity that completely lacks the main characteristic of diversity, which is viewpoint diversity, that is diverse opinions.”

He claimed that the university has informally partnered with the Democratic Party and that the majority of the faculty is left- or liberal, with the exception of 2 or 3 percent conservatives.

Harvard sued the Trump administration in April for halting more than$ 2.2 billion in funding. The Ivy League institution’s refusal to follow the administration’s policies on antisemitism and diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Trump has also cautioned Harvard that its tax exempt status might be revoked.

Harvard discontinued its tradition of holding special, racial graduation ceremonies earlier this month. The College Fix reported that it changed the name of its Office of Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging, with some describing both changes as concessions to the Trump administration.
