Android is evolving. Google has given Android its unique dedicated function in place of saving every news for its annual developer conference.

One week before Google I/O 2025, the lecture gave an insider’s view of the Android platform’s coming during The Android Show: I/O Edition.

Plastic 3 Expressive debuts later this year.

Material 3 Expressive builds on Google’s Material You UI design speech and aims to make personalization simpler for Android and Wear OS. It includes fresh sensory feedback, blurring effects, and more. Additionally, potential Android devices may have expanded color styles, fonts, and UI elements.

One of our biggest improvements in years, Material 3 Expressive, one of our biggest improvements in decades, is all about making your system feel unique to you, according to a new blog post on Google’s The Keyword.

Android Auto introduces the Gemini AI.

Additionally, the integration of Gemini AI and Android Auto has received a major update. Individuals can interact with their System using healthy vocabulary by using Gemini as an in-car digital assistant. Without using any buttons or settings, tasks like sending communications, navigating to companies, and playing music from Spotify may be done hands-free.

Gemini already has support for transcription in more than 40 different languages. By the end of 2025, the AI virtual assistant will be integrated into cars that already have Google pre-installed, such as the Honda Passport, Lincoln Nautilus, and Renault R5. It is anticipated to be accessible in vehicles with Android Auto in a few weeks.

    Devices see improved surveillance technology

Google’s development team has also implemented increased security controls for Android in response to some of the most recent portable security threats, including:

    • Greater protection from fraud texts, including those involving present cards, road scams, crypto scams, and other scams.
    • Moving from” Get my Machine” to” Get Hub,” which can be used to track lost equipment or share place with friends and family. For those who don’t have access to mobile service, satellite communication will become accessible starting afterwards in the year.
    • Easy accessibility to the Advanced Protection hotel, one of Google’s most powerful security features. As needed, these extra safety measures can get turned on or off.

    Looking ahead to Google I/O

The Android Show: I/O Edition focused on technology improvements, as expected. With Google I/O scheduled for May 20-21, 2025, more disclosures, including technology improvements, are anticipated to pursue.
