Muslim leaders at an annual conference in Baghdad announced on Saturday that they were attempting to reach a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip and promised to help with the rebuilding of the area when the conflict is over. A plan for Gaza’s reconstruction was approved at an Arab League conference in Cairo in March, without causing displacement of its almost 2 million residents. Egyptian leaders, including President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi of Egypt and Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani of Qatar, took part in the conference in Baghdad. Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez and UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres were among the attendees who demanded the release of Jewish victims in Gaza and the entry of help into the besieged place. He claimed that any “forced movement” of Palestinians is against the UN. The mountain on Saturday comes two months after Israel ended a January peace with the Hamas militant party. Israel has recently launched numerous problems in Gaza, and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has pledged to launch a further increase in order to pursue his goal of destroying Hamas. In a statement calling for the flow of aid into Gaza, Iraq’s Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani said,” This murder has reached ranges of depravity not seen in all conflicts throughout history. Al-Sudani added that Iraq will operate toward creating an Egyptian fund to support Lebanon’s reconstruction, where Baghdad did contribute$ 20 million for Gaza and$ 20 million for Lebanon. El-Sisi claimed that Egypt is “prompting extreme efforts to reach a peace” in Gaza in collaboration with Qatar and the US, and that these efforts have resulted in the release of Israeli-American hostage Edan Alexander. Once the anger is over, Egypt will carry an international conference to discuss the reconstruction of Gaza, according to him. Mahmoud Abbas, the leader of Palestine, demanded that Hamas give up control of Gaza and that other militant groups also hand over munitions to the Palestinian Authority. Since Abbas ‘ Western-backed Palestinian Authority took command of Gaza in 2007, peace efforts have repeatedly failed between the competitors. US President Donald Trump’s earlier visit of the area in the region stifled the Baghdad meet. Al-Sharaa’s history as a Sunni militant was viewed by Iraqi Shiite armies and political parties, and al-Sharaa had reacted against his offer to the summit.
