According to garden officials, the very sought-after High Sierra Camps in Yosemite National Park, which have been closed since 2018 will continue to be closed this summer due to the lack of drinkable water and restrooms.

According to the museum’s business,” This decision was made in collaboration with the National Park Service ( NPS), which manages the resources needed to move the camps.” ” Impacted friends have been contacted, and they will be given a chance to reserve alternative lodging in the park,” according to the announcement.

More than 13, 000 people visit the Yosemite tents, which are five distinct sites that provide glamping amenities like access to running water and high-end meals each month. According to the garden, guests have access to either solar- or flush toilets where waste is recycled and composted. Depending on the availability of waters, there are scatterers at May Lake and Sunrise Camps.

The houses fully reopened for the last day in 2018 and were only operational during the summer of 2024. The town’s 56 camp cabins have typically remained closed due to COVID-19 restrictions and severe weather, but just three of the camps have welcomed guests.

The Yosemite camps are open intermittently from June to September and are located 6 to 10 kilometers off along a ring road. The wind affects the date significantly. Visitors to the area can make guided and unsupervised travels between the cabins. Guided trips last five or seven days, and they include a manual and all three foods at each station. Unrestricted trips are self-guided and include two dishes with sack lunches accessible for an extra cost.

The 2026 time lottery will start on November 1 and near on November 30. Finalists are sent an email notification.
