On Sunday morning, Pope Leo XIV will hold his inaugural mass at 10 a.m. ( that’s 4 a.m. Eastern Time ). The” Holy Mass for the Beginning of the Pontificate” is expected to draw tens of thousands of people to St. Peter’s Square. The pope may make an appearance for their sake before making a return to St. Peter’s Basilica to participate in the meeting, which will include him receiving the Petrine Pallium and Fisherman’s Ring, delivering a sermon, and saying a worship called the Regina Caeli. &nbsp,

Following that, according to the Vatican, Pope Leo may visit the nobles present. Vice President JD Vance and Next Lady Usha, as well as Marco Rubio, the secretary of state, and his wife Jeanette, will be among them, along with a group from the United States. Given that this is the first pontiff to come from the United States, I believe it’s simply appropriate. ( I won’t make any jokes about what transpired when Vance was last at the Vatican. ) &nbsp,

There has been a lot of discussion about the Pope’s political and social views, as you probably already understand. Some of his remarks about improper immigration were greeted with cheers from liberals. He just fought for traditional relationship between a person and a woman and newborn children. Pope Leo invited Vladimir Putin and Volodymyr Zelensky to a meeting at the Vatican to end the war once and for all, and some of his first public remarks included one about ending war and welcoming harmony, something I think we can all agree on. &nbsp,

Secretary Rubio said,” The Pope is never a political number, but I think we all need to hear it,” but that is something I believe we all need to hear. &nbsp,

One reporter inquired,” Mr. Secretary, it was announced now that you’re heading to Rome for the Pope’s annual size,” while Rubio, who has been traveling with the leader in the Middle East and spent time with the president this week in Turkey, met with NATO and a group from the Ukraine. In various stages of his life, Pope Leo has strongly addressed the situation of workers. How do you balance the guidelines of the Trump administration with what the Vatican has said about sympathy for immigrants? &nbsp,

Rubio responded,” Well, first of all, the Pope is never a democratic number. He is covered like a glove, which they are not, I am aware of. The Roman Catholic Church has powerful societal doctrine teachings, and they are the mortal head, so I don’t believe there is any incompatibility. &nbsp,

Good place. Although I don’t believe in catechism, I do believe that today people try to turn rulers into political figures. However, some of them do seem to request it. &nbsp,

However, what Rubio said future is anything I’ve been trying to get across for a while. You can support a secure borders and feel the world’s greatest kindness for workers. In fact, it’s actually the most sympathetic thing to do. Here’s how the director put it in perspective:  ,

We show compassion to immigrants as well. There is nothing sympathetic about mass migration, in my opinion. Open borders don’t offer any compassion, which makes people vulnerable to trafficking around. The American people shouldn’t be so compassionate about bringing in scammers and predators on our communities. All of that is not sympathetic about any of it.

However, I would caution all of you — I understand that there is a desire to refer to the papacy as a political office because it is a religious office with social teachings that are in line with the gospel and the faith. And I don’t think those are inconsistent with a national legislation that attempts to stop mass movement, which is neither sympathetic to those who are being trafficked into our nation nor sympathetic to those who suffer the most.

If a million people illegally enter this country and 1000 of them are harmful criminals, those are many of the patients. And that’s not sympathetic either, sometimes.

Rubio, who is Catholic himself, made a fantastic place after that:

By the way, the Vatican has guidelines about who can enter and who can leave, and I don’t suggest this to be witty. Every location has that, therefore. Simply put, it’s what you do to defend your country’s independence. We are the world’s most sympathetic country. A million persons officially immigrate to the United States for permanent residency every year. No another country is almost as kind as we are, and we’ve been doing it for a long time. However, it’s impossible for five million people to travel improperly every year with four million. That’s simply not responsible, and there’s nothing at all sympathetic about it for Americans.
