What does US visa restrictions on Indian travel agencies mean? Owners, executives, senior officials to face action
American travel agencies are notified of the US Embassy’s Visa Restriction Policy.

The Donald Trump administration qualified travel agents in India on Monday in response to the administration’s main immigration crackdown on illegal immigration. According to the State Department, owners, executives, and senior officials of these travel agencies with bases in India may be subject to immigration restrictions, which will mean that the smuggling networks will be entirely blocked. Our immigration policy aims to tell foreigners about the consequences of illegal immigration to the United States as well as hold those responsible for breaking our laws, including those who facilitate illegal immigration, according to the statement. According to the speech, this card restriction policy is global and will apply to everyone who meets the Visa Waiver Program’s requirements.

The Visa Waiver Program is what, exactly?

Immigrants of other nations are not required to travel to the United States for business or commerce for 90 days or less without a visa. India is certainly a member of the US Visa Waiver Program. Indian citizens must apply for a B-1 ( business ) or B-2 ( tourist ) visa through the customary visa application process at a US consulate or embassies.

What is the US Visa Restriction Policy?

The Immigration and Nationality Act’s Section 212( a ) ( 3 ) ( C ) gives the US government the authority to declare an individual inadmissible if their entry or employment in the US has “potentially serious adverse foreign policy consequences” for the country. It is frequently used for reasons involving diplomatic relations, national security, or another proper interests. This is not only intended for India, but any person from any other nation may be deemed unsuitable to provide the US if the management determines otherwise. According to the State Department’s new statement, travel agents, officials, and employees employed by travel agencies with alleged connections to illegitimate immigration will then appear on the radar. A recent alert from the US Embassy in India warned against overstaying the country’s immigration policy. The official warned that if you stay in the United States longer than your permitted period of remain, you could be deported and encounter a permanent ban on entering the country in the future.
