In response to CBS News ‘ legitimate debate with President Donald Trump, CEO Wendy McMahon resigned as president and CEO of the business. In a letter to CBS News workers, McMahon stated that it is clear that the company and I do not believe on the best course of action. She said,” Her position in the company was a pleasure and happiness, but the past few weeks had been challenging. For this business to move ahead with new leadership.” ” On a personal note, I want to congratulate Wendy for her relationship over the past four times,” George Cheeks, president and CEO of CBS, wrote. ” Under her leadership, our television channels ‘ aggressive position and society have drastically improved, and we’ve expanded local media considerably. Our national and local streaming news services are stronger and expanding, with modern extensions added for a number of our top CBS News broadcasts. McMahon’s exit comes just days after “60 Minutes ‘ long-standing best supplier” Bill Owens left after he claimed the newsmagazine had lost its literary freedom. Trump has filed a lawsuit against CBS, alleging that it altered an interview with Kamala Harris, the 2024 Democratic nominee, next fall to gain her. That has not been proven by CBS News. Paramount Global, CBS ‘ parent firm, is reportedly in talks with Trump regarding settlements. A consolidation between Paramount Global and Skydance Media is being sought.
