A man was recently detained by law enforcement in Fishing, Indiana after being caught digging up a gold ring buried in a tomb with an urn.

A gentleman from Indianapolis was arrested” after he was discovered digging up a burial site in Fishing,” according to a new press release from the Fishers Police Department. Seth Davidson, 24, was later identified as the believe, according to WTHR 13.

A Fishers Police Department officer was reportedly observing a” cautious car” while on patrol near Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens next Monday night, according to the press release. The police agent saw a” shotgun and equipment in ordinary view,” according to the press release, despite the car being never occupied.

Seth Davidson reportedly emerged from the local forested area while the agent was looking at the car.
area,” the Fishers Police Department said. The official confirmed that Davidson was the owner of the vehicle by reporting that he was covered in dirt from head to toe.

” Davidson revealed to the officials that he was an individual of Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens.”

After he observed police officers near his car, Davidson explained that he hid the golden band behind a dumpster. The 24-year-old later led police to the location where he had hidden the silver ring and showed police the grave he had dug up, where “fresh dirt indicated new disturbance” according to the department.

According to the Fishers Police Department, Davidson was detained on a number of charges, including criminal robbery, criminal trespass, cemetery mischief, and disconcerting grounds for burial artifacts.

The police office made note of the press release by confirming to police that Davidson worked for the tomb.

The team at the tomb “believed that this was the only grave that was disturbed,” the Fishers Police Department continued. The deceased’s community has been informed, the statement reads.

Davidson’s second judge presence, according to WTHR 13, was on Tuesday.

Images of the 24-year-old believe have been shared on X, a former Twitter user.
