According to Bloomberg, representatives from China’s Commerce Ministry announced on Wednesday that the Anti-Foreign Punishment Law may apply to implementing US bans on some software products.
The ministry charged the US with violating export controls and with carrying out “typical acts of punitive bullying and protectionism” to “repress and include China.”
China and the US just held trade deals in Geneva, where they agreed to a 90-day wait on some mutual tariffs. The statement is the most recent in a difficult business environment, where the US forbids the flow of transistors into and out of China.
China does take legal action against businesses that abide by US laws governing Huawei.
According to Bloomberg, the Taiwanese Commerce Ministry did not specify what steps might be taken if it was discovered that an individual or business had aided in US trade settings. However, it is important to point out that China has control over the supply of essential vitamins needed for high-tech goods.

The AI Diffusion law was set to go into effect on May 15th, but the US Department of Commerce rescinded it on May 13. The office announced on May 19 that it would “issue a replacement rule” and provided guidance stating:”…

The two nations came to a consensus in Geneva regarding the establishment of” a system to continue conversations about economic and trade relationships.”
